I love to play with my son, but at times it feels a little redundant. He is so cute, he would be thrilled to play peek-a-boo all day long. So while I was on my 118th round of peek-a-boo, it was nice to read this article on why what I am doing is so crucial!
It discusses the important developmental benefits of play and why we need to play with our kids. It also introduces different types of play such as: social play, role play, object play, and a few others.
In addition to what the article says, I think that one of the most important reasons to play with your child is to let them know that they are important to you. Playing is one of the best ways to say, “I love you!”
