Ok, so we usually post a game on Fridays, but I am going against the grain and posting a fun little snack. My cousin came over with her kids a few days ago and I was trying to think of something healthy they could eat. I had a ton of fruit, but knew you can’t just hand kids fruit and expect them to eat it, you have to disguise the healthy food! We had just made some kabobs the other night, so I pulled out some skewers and made a fruit kabob. Oh, it turned out so cute! It just had to work….
Just as expected, when I asked them if they wanted some fruit they said no….. BUT when I told them they could make their own fruit kabob, they jumped up right away. They had tons of fun and even ate the whole thing. Many happy, healthy tummies were fed that day!
I love things like this that make eating an activity too. I bet just skewing anything probably burns off all of the calories. Maybe I’ll try brownie skewers next! More ideas of how to trick your kids into eating healthy here.
