I love being outside! There is something about fresh air that just fills my family with energy. Simply walking outside makes my little guy happier and we are always trying to take advantage of good weather. Studies show that just going outside helps enhance your ability to focus on a task, reduces tension and stress, enhances weight loss, and sunlight works as a powerful source of energy for our bodies. No wonder we love being outside! This month’s family challenge is to go outside with your family! Here is Jaelle, the newest member of The Family Network, explaining a little bit about how fun the outdoors is in her family:
My family loves to be outdoors together. We start in early spring getting everything ready for a whole season of outdoor living as much as possible! We get the gathering area ready:
We enjoy watching the fruit trees bloom : Apples!
We get the strawberry patch weeded:
We just got chickens and bunnies this year! So we are outside all the time watching them play and grow!
We feed the birds and fill up the kids window feeders :
We plant the window boxes :
Of course we enjoy outdoor activities like riding bikes, wagon rides and playing on the trampoline. Exploring the woods is also fun!
When it gets warmer out we lay on the trampoline and stargaze!
Thanks Jaelle! What a slew of great things you could do with your family outside! I love the idea of raising bunnies and chicks in the spring. What a fun experience to have with your kids!
This month we want to challenge you to :
GET OUTSIDE!!!!
Any day of April will do! Choose an activity, plant a flower, stargaze, take a walk as a family, clean up trash, hang a bird feeder, etc… then come and tell us what you did! What was your favorite part? What will you remember the most? We are making memories here!!!
