It is officially Christmas Season and wow did it seem to come up fast!  I am so grateful for my kiddos that make me slow down, play and count my most important blessings during this busy time of year!  We have already started some of our traditions like making a service advent calendar, reading Christmas stories, decorating, getting a tree, listening to Christmas music (which started a long time ago if we’re being honest) and everything Christmas we can think of!  This month we have a fun family challenge presented by Michelle from Fun On A Dime!  Hope to see and steal some fun Christmas traditions from everyone!

The Challenge

This month’s challenge is to take a picture (or pictures) that captures how you bring the Christmas Spirit into your home and post it to your favorite social media with the tag #ChristmasFamilyChallenge. This could be a favorite family tradition (like baking cookies together), attending a Christmas concert or shopping/wrapping gifts for a family in need. Other ideas…12 Days of Christmas, evening Christmas sing alongs, visiting a live Nativity, dancing to Christmas music, visiting family, participating as a Christmas Caroler, etc. You can leave a comment below to share additional ideas.

One of my kiddos’ favorite family traditions is being a part of the “Christmas Story” by acting out the Nativity while someone reads the verses from the Bible. I think this is a great way to bring the Christmas Spirit into our home and to help recenter our focus on the true purpose of The Season. I was lucky enough to capture this shot last year with my niece and my youngest daughter when she was 1.5 months old.
